Good morning, I'm Grace Holloway and this is your TC Sentinel daily briefing for Tuesday, March 10, 2026. We're starting the week off right with picture-perfect weather on the Treasure Coast. Expect mostly sunny skies today with highs in the lower 80s and calm winds shifting from the south to the east. Tonight will be mostly clear with just a bit of patchy fog after midnight and lows in the upper 60s. It's the kind of day that reminds us why we live here. On the education front, Fort Pierce Central High School is celebrating some impressive achievements. The Ambassador Concert Choir earned a Superior rating, the highest recognition available, at the District 13 Choral Concert Music Performance Assessment. That same day, both of the school's bands, the Wind Ensemble and the Symphonic Band, also earned Superior ratings from the Florida Bandmasters Association. That's a remarkable sweep for the school's music programs. The talent on the Treasure Coast extends to the military arts as well. Port St. Lucie High School's Jaguar Battalion Drill Team claimed first place at the regional drill meet on Friday, marking their thirteenth consecutive year winning the title. They topped seven competing schools at Seminole Ridge Community High School. Meanwhile, St. Lucie West Centennial's Navy JROTC unit competed at the Florida State Drill Championships in Riverview and came home with two top-six finishes and an individual honor. Finally, some of our local students got a special learning opportunity recently. Seven students from Treasure Coast High School and St. Lucie West Centennial visited the Smithsonian Marine Station as part of the Classrooms2Careers program. The behind-the-scenes look gave them real insight into marine science careers and the research happening right here in our community. Stay with TC Sentinel for continuing coverage. I'm Grace Holloway.
